Grants for participation in World Heritage processes

NWHF applies annually for funding to cover the cost of travel and DSA for representatives from countries underrepresented on the World Heritage List. The funds are made available through Norway's programme for the participation of developing countries in environment processes.

The aim of the grant is to strengthen the implementation of the World Heritage Convention in the underrepresented countries. To ensure the effect of the grant, the representatives are identified in cooperation with the World Heritage Centre.

NWHF has mobilised grants for participants to the World Heritage Committee meetings over a number of years. Attending Committee meetings are considered very significant to get a comprehensive understanding of the key World Heritage processes and modes of work.
